Dubai, UAE – February 15, 2025: In a significant move to enhance travel convenience, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expanded its visa-on-arrival program for Indian nationals. The new policy, effective immediately, grants Indian passport holders with valid visas, residence permits, or Green Cards from six additional countries the ability to obtain a visa on arrival at all UAE entry points.

Previously, this privilege was limited to Indian travelers with documentation from the United States, European Union member states, and the United Kingdom. With the latest expansion, Indian citizens who possess valid documentation from Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada are now eligible for visa-on-arrival entry.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) confirmed the updated policy, highlighting its commitment to strengthening UAE-India ties and facilitating smoother travel for eligible visitors.
Eligibility Requirements for Indian Travelers:
- Indian nationals must hold an ordinary passport.
- The passport should be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
- Travelers must have a valid visa, residence permit, or Green Card issued by any of the newly included countries or previously eligible nations.
- Applicable visa fees must be paid in accordance with UAE immigration regulations.
The expansion of the visa-on-arrival program aligns with the UAE’s strategic vision to attract skilled professionals, investors, and tourists. Authorities believe the move will encourage greater business and tourism engagement while offering Indian travelers new opportunities for work and investment in the UAE.
As the UAE continues to strengthen its global connectivity, this policy update reaffirms its position as a premier hub for tourism, trade, and economic growth. Indian travelers planning to visit the UAE under the new scheme are advised to check with UAE immigration authorities for further details and ensure they meet all necessary requirements before traveling.
