I applied for dependent visas for my wife and child under my investor visa and paid a deposit of AED 3,300 each. They entered the UAE using entry permits, but after a week, I decided to cancel the visa process, and they plan to return to their home country. After cancellation, I attempted to request a refund of the deposits, but the ICP system displays an error saying, “there is no deposits in applications.” What could be the reason for this error, and how can I successfully get the deposit refunded?
@ahammedjouhar how did you initiate? did u do it through gdfra? and also did u have a 60 days validity period when u initiated the refund and the exit of family? I am facing a similar issue where i help my d ependant visa with 5000 AED at amer. unfortunately no more my company can give me a dubai visa, from amer center they say they cnt do anything but i still have time to do something till oct 7. I want the security deposit amount back. so for that i am asking! The application is shown in the ICP website
Since the dependent visas were cancelled after entry into the UAE, the deposit refund can only be requested after your wife and child exit the country or if their visa status is changed within the UAE. The ICP system shows “there is no deposits in applications” because the system does not allow refund processing while the visa holders are still in the country or their status remains active.
Steps to get the deposit refunded:
-
Ensure they exit the UAE – Once your wife and child leave the UAE, their exit should be automatically updated in the ICP system.
-
Wait 1–3 working days – Allow time for the system to register their departure.
-
Login to the ICP portal ( https://icp.gov.ae ) – Go to the “Refund Request” section.
-
Apply for the refund – Use the application reference number or Emirates ID details to locate the deposit and submit the refund request.
