[Solved] I work in Dubai with a contract salary of AED 3,500, but my payslips show over AED 5,000 including overtime and commissions. Can I sponsor my wife and two kids for a family visa?

I am currently working in Dubai, and my employment contract states a salary of AED 3,500. However, my monthly salary slip shows that I receive over AED 5,000 every month, including overtime payments and commissions. I would like to apply for a UAE family residence visa for my wife and two children. Based on my actual monthly income shown in the salary slips, can I sponsor my family?

To sponsor your family (wife and children) on a UAE residence visa, the key requirement is that your basic salary mentioned in your employment contract and registered in the labour system must be at least AED 4,000.

Even if your actual salary (shown in your payslips) exceeds AED 5,000 due to overtime or commissions, this additional income is not considered valid for visa sponsorship purposes unless it is officially stated in the labour contract.

Therefore, you are currently not eligible to sponsor your family because your official salary in the employment contract is only AED 3,500. To become eligible, you should request your employer to update your contract salary to at least AED 4,000 in the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) system. Once that is done and your updated labour contract reflects the required amount, you may proceed with the family visa application.
