How does UAE Embassy Attestation work for Indian documents, and what should I do first?
From what I have seen, UAE Embassy Attestation is the last step in a chain, so the order matters more than anything else. First the document gets verified by the issuing office or the state authority, then it goes to the MEA for attestation, and only after that does the UAE Embassy attest it. If you try to go straight to the embassy, it usually gets sent back. Use the original document, check that your name matches your passport exactly, and ask whether the UAE office needs a translation, because that can change the order of the steps. Timelines depend on the document and the state, so I would not trust anyone who promises a fixed number of days. Requirements also get updated now and then, so it is worth confirming the current process with the UAE Embassy or the office that will receive the document before you start.
