Dubai, UAE – The United Arab Emirates has tightened its visit visa rules, implementing stricter measures for applicants. As per the latest notification, visitors are now required to present original return tickets and confirmed hotel bookings at the airport to gain entry.
Stricter Enforcement on Visit Visas
According to the recent announcement, any irregularities in documentation, such as fake or dummy return tickets or hotel bookings, could result in severe fines. These measures are part of the UAE’s commitment to maintaining secure and transparent visa processes.
Harf PRO Mr Mubashir emphasized:
“Normal outside applications are getting approval; however, applicants who exited recently face higher chances of rejection. Kindly ensure the old visa status is updated before applying.”
Widespread Rejections Last Week
Many UAE visit visa applications were rejected in the previous week due to incomplete or falsified documentation. Mr Mubashir added:
“Despite repeated reminders, some agencies are still attaching fake tickets and hotel bookings, which has resulted in significant fines.”
Link to the UAE Amnesty Program
The stricter rules align with the ongoing amnesty program, allowing illegal expatriates a four-month window to regularise their status. This initiative offers individuals the option to either leave the UAE or apply for legal visas. To ensure the program’s effectiveness, the government has increased scrutiny of new visit visa applications.
