How Harf Coordinated a Time-Sensitive Off-Plan Golden Visa Application in Ras Al Khaimah
When a Golden Visa applicant has only a limited amount of time in the UAE, every day matters.
This was exactly the situation faced by one of our recent off-plan property Golden Visa clients. The applicant travelled frequently between the UAE and Saudi Arabia and needed the process to be completed efficiently during his stay in the UAE.
What followed was a carefully coordinated process involving document verification, RAK Executive Committee approval, entry permit, change of status, medical examination, Emirates ID application, biometrics and residency completion.
Once the required approval was received, the key final stages were completed within two working days.
This is the real customer journey.
Step 1: The Customer Contacts Harf
The journey started when the customer’s representative contacted Harf to confirm whether we handled Golden Visa applications in Ras Al Khaimah.
The conversation was straightforward:
Customer: โHe said you handle all Golden Visa in RAK?โ
Harf: โYes, Ali, we specialize in Golden Visa services here in Ras Al Khaimah.โ
The customer confirmed that the application was for an off-plan property. Harf immediately explained the documents required to begin the process.
The initial document checklist included the SPA, Statement of Account, NOC, passport copy and photograph, with the property registration certificate also required for the application.
Step 2: Document Review Identifies What Is Missing
The customer sent the available documents by email.
Rather than simply accepting the documents and starting an incomplete application, the Harf team reviewed the file and identified two missing items:
- Oqood / property registration certificate from RAK Municipality
- Personal photograph
The customer was immediately informed.
Harf: โMissing documents: Property registration certified (oqood) and His personal photoโ
The customer then asked where the Oqood could be obtained.
Harf explained that it could be obtained through the RAK portal or through the developer. The customer subsequently provided the Oqood certificate.
This early document checking helped ensure that the application file was ready before the main processing stage.
Step 3: Planning Around the Customer’s Travel Schedule
The application became more challenging because the applicant was travelling frequently between the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
At one point, the customer explained that the applicant would only be in the UAE for a few days.
Harf explained that completing all the required stages would require sufficient time in the UAE and that leaving the country at certain stages could affect the process.
The customer eventually confirmed a longer stay:
Customer: โHe will remain in uae till 3rd octoberโ
Customer: โSo lets push to get it all done within these 7 days ๐๐ปโ
Harf responded:
Harf: โSureโ
Harf: โwe arranged all to do by quicklyโ
The process was therefore planned around the applicant’s actual arrival and availability.
Step 4: Application Started Immediately After Arrival
The applicant landed in the UAE on 24 September.
The customer’s representative immediately informed Harf:
Customer: โIโve landed and am through immigrationโ
Customer: โClient has landed ๐ฌโ
Customer: โYou can start the process bhaiโ
Harf acknowledged the update and proceeded with the application.
Later that day, Harf confirmed:
Harf: โwe submitted all documents to rak executive committee for their approval.โ
The Executive Committee approval stage was then monitored closely.
Step 5: Approval Received โ Immediate Next Action
The approval stage depended on the relevant authority, so Harf continued following up while keeping the customer’s representative updated.
On 29 September, the customer was asking for updates because the applicant had taken time away from work specifically for the Golden Visa process.
Later that evening, the approval was received.
Harf: โReceived just nowโ
Harf: โApplying now for evisaโ
The customer’s representative immediately requested the approval document so he could keep the client informed.
This was the turning point.
Once the approval was received, Harf moved directly into the next stages rather than waiting for the following working day.
The 2-Working-Day Fast-Track Stage
Day 1 โ 30 September
The entry permit was issued from Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security on 30 September.
The customer asked:
Customer: โNow what?โ
Harf replied:
Harf: โNext change status Doingโ
And immediately followed with:
Harf: โThen medicalโ
The customer was instructed that he could proceed for the medical examination within the next hour.
Change of Status
Harf prepared the change-of-status application and provided the required documents for the customer to proceed.
The application was completed while the client was already preparing for the medical stage.
Medical
The customer completed his medical examination on the same day.
Later that afternoon, Harf received the medical result and immediately moved forward with the next requirements:
Harf: โmedical resultโ
Harf: โnext is insurance and id and residence applicationโ
This is where the importance of coordination became clear.
Instead of treating each stage as a separate task, the next application was prepared immediately after the previous requirement was completed.
Day 2 โ 1 October
The following morning, the applicant completed his Emirates ID biometrics.
The customer updated Harf:
Customer: โBiometrics are doneโ
Customer: โFingerprints and signature.โ
Harf confirmed:
Harf: โAll doneโ
The team then proceeded with the Emirates ID process.
Shortly afterward, the digital Emirates ID was issued.
Harf: โDone ๐ฅโ
The customer’s response showed his relief:
Customer: โMashallahโ
Customer: โIs that everything?โ
Harf confirmed that the applicant could now exit the UAE, while the physical Emirates ID card would follow separately.
The residence documentation was then shared with the customer later that morning.
A Golden Visa Process That Moved Step by Step
The key workflow in this case was:
Document Collection
โ
Document Verification
โ
RAK Executive Committee Application
โ
Approval
โ
Golden Visa Entry Permit
โ
Change of Status
โ
Medical Examination
โ
Insurance & Residency Application
โ
Emirates ID Biometrics
โ
Digital Emirates ID & Residence Completion
The final operational stages were completed across 30 September and 1 October, demonstrating how quickly the process can move when documents are ready, approvals are received and each stage is coordinated without unnecessary gaps.
What Made This Customer Experience Different?
1. Documents Were Checked Before Processing
Harf identified missing documents at the beginning instead of allowing an incomplete application to progress.
2. The Process Was Planned Around the Applicant
The applicant’s travel schedule was considered from the beginning.
3. Communication Was Continuous
The customer’s representative regularly asked for updates, and Harf provided status updates throughout the process.
4. The Next Step Was Prepared Immediately
Once one stage was completed, the team moved directly to the next available stage.
5. Procedures Were Coordinated Around the Customer’s Location
Although the Golden Visa application was for Ras Al Khaimah, certain procedures were arranged in Dubai based on where the applicant was staying.
6. The Team Stayed Focused on the Deadline
The customer had specifically taken time away from work for the application.
At one point, the customer’s representative told Harf:
Customer: โHe will shout me if it isn’t done this weekโ
Customer: โBecause he has taken one week of workโ
Customer: โJust for thisโ
The response from Harf was simple:
Harf: โYou can trust our team, don’t worry we decently complete before this time schedule.โ
And the team continued pushing the application forward.
The Customer’s Final Reaction
After the digital Emirates ID and residence documentation were completed, the customer’s representative sent a message that summed up the experience:
Customer: โYou have been amazing brotherโ
Customer: โThank youโ
He also confirmed that he wanted to continue working with Harf for his future RAK clients.
For Harf, this is what a successful customer experience looks likeโnot simply completing an application, but staying involved throughout the process and helping the customer navigate each stage.
RAK Golden Visa: A Real Example of Speed, Coordination and Efficiency
Every Golden Visa application is different. Government approvals, document requirements and processing times can vary depending on the applicant and the relevant authorities.
However, this customer case demonstrates what can happen when the application is properly prepared and every stage is coordinated efficiently.
From the moment the required approval was received, Harf moved through the entry permit, change of status, medical, Emirates ID and residency stages with a clear focus on completing the process as quickly as possible.
Within two working days, the key final stages of this customer’s Golden Visa process were completed, including medical, biometrics, digital Emirates ID and residence documentation.
This is more than a timeline.
It is an example of how preparation, communication and active coordination can make the Golden Visa experience smoother for property investors who have limited time in the UAE.
